Danica Patrick inspires us all

Danica Patrick is the best thing to hit NASCAR, a sport high on testosterone and octane this young driver is all about what racing needs. Danica brings new fans to the track, not only the ladies how are inspired by Danica but new fans, young men, and some of us older mens who love the sport but don’t mind a little eye candy too. Fox reported that rating for this year’s race was up 30% over last year largely attributable to Danica Patrick.

I have to say as I was watched the Daytona 500 this year that I was a little disturbed maybe more disappointed by Daytona 500 Grand Marshal James Franco’s command of “Drivers and Danica, start your engines.” But then again who is James’s Franco, I always thought that Grand Marshals were important people I guess this year they were trying to save money. Danica Patrick demonstrated Sunday; she is a driver and a dam fine one.

Well anyways as I spent the afternoon watching the race in my favorite pair of Manview Elements Fire Lounge Pants, sound like an advertisement but for real, I was really rooting for the Hendrick Motorsports because I am truly a Chevy Fan but I was also rooting for Danica not only because she is a woman in a male dominated sport but mostly because I believe Danica will emerged as a great driver in the near future, I don’t think that the sport is about men against woman I believe it is about talent, hard work and physical and mental conditioning. I believe Danica has earned her way to the top and I hope that she does well.

As I watched the race I could not help but think that the records that were being set by Danica will be nothing more than little stepping stone when she looks back over the course of the year. Danica held her own in the top ten throughout the full race and was able to maintain a third position up to the final lap but got caught up in the Hendricks Hurricane of Jimmie Johnson and Dale Earnhardt Jr. a tough break for Danica but a great lesson . You go girl , you are an inspiration to all of us.
